Accepts responsibility for completion of orientation.
Must be 18 years of age. Documented one year free from chemical use problems.
Graduation from high school or GED examination. Graduation from a Nursing Assistant program or equivalent experience.
Must be able to complete clerical component of Unit Assistant orientation provided by facility. Demonstrates ability to learn and retain medical information and terms. Capable of functioning under pressure and in stressful situations. Give and receive information. Understand and follow written and oral communications. Manages personal stress and emotions to respectfully interact with others. Maintains composure in difficult situations.
Current BLS certification or attends BLS class within six months of employment and maintains certification. Current CPI certification or attains within six months and maintains certification.
