This position requires a dependable, pleasant and organized person. Will be working with patients both in person to register and on the phones to schedule appointments and answer questions. Able to perform multiple tasks at same time. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills with patients and coworkers. Able to self-motivate and function under stress. Understanding of various health insurance plans. Willingness to keep up with constant insurance plan changes.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers through prompt response and courteous communication.
Verify all insurances as necessary to ensure accurate eligibility for coverage of treatment.
Effectively collecting patient co pays for their visit or collecting patient balance as needed.
Maintain departmental goals and productivity parameters as set forth by Patient Access Supervisor.
Assist patients with filling out paperwork, questions or concerns during their clinic visits
Covers co-workers and cross trains as necessary to meet the needs of the clinic. Assists in speciality insurance including workers compensation and forms processing as well as registration and scheduling duties as assigned.
