In collaboration with patients and families, the cardiac rehab therapist is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within the scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes.
The cardiac rehab therapist partners with the patient and family while performing the Evaluation/Re-evaluation.
Develops an individualized plan of care through collaboration with the patient and family.
Partners with patients and families to provide skilled intervention.
Experience: None to 1 year required. 1-3 years preferred.
Bachelors degree in Nursing or Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy or an Exercise Related Field (i.e. Exercise Science, Exercise physiology) required.
Masters degree in Nursing or Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy or an Exercise Related Field (i.e. Exercise Science, Exercise physiology) preferred.
Minimum: Minnesota Licensure in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy, or Nursing. No licensure required for an exercise related field (i.e. Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology). Preferred: Certified Exercise Specialist (CES) or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP)
